TREATS, EATS, HOLIDAY DELIGHTS…
Handmade goods, gifts, foods, decorations, arts and crafts, children’s activities and a visit from Santa Claus lie in wait at the annual Cotulla Country Christmas, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 10-11, at the county fairgrounds.
Hosted by the La Salle County Fair Association, the two-day event includes a variety of vendor booths in the fairgrounds pavilion on Engineer Lane, beside Hwy 97 (opposite the Cotulla High School campus) as well as Christmas movies screened for youngsters, a Santa letter writing station, food and refreshments.
Admission to the fairgrounds will be free.
Organizers of the event have indicated they anticipate this year’s Country Christmas to offer a wide range of holiday items for all ages, many of them unique and handmade.
Santa Claus will visit the Country Christmas from 2 to 5 p.m. both days to meet with children, have pictures taken and listen to their wishes.
Other children’s activities at the event will include a supervised coloring area where youngsters can be entertained while their parents shop.
Booth spaces remain available at $25 each. Those looking to host booths offering gifts, toys, jewelry, clothing, foods, home décor, seasonal items, books, leather goods and wood crafts, should call (830) 879-2852.
