As an adult, I love fireworks. My young kids have not always been so excited. We can handle them now, but even some of the grown-ups we know aren’t crazy about them. So here’s a fun idea to enjoy instead of the real fireworks.
Inspirations and instructions are from www.momdot.com & www.fantasticfunandlearning.com
Just like fireworks, tinsel stems (pipe cleaners) come in a variety of colors. Feel free to combine colors as you please, or make them one color.
For each ring, use three whole stems. Cut each in half to give yourself 6 equal/half pieces.
Wrap the first pipe cleaner 3-4 times around your index finger. Second pipe cleaner on your second finger and third on the next finger. Twist the ends together, then remove them carefully without disturbing your coils. Do this a second time with your other 3 pipe cleaners. Again, remove carefully.
Twist both ends together so the 6 coils are assembled as one and curl your bottom stem around a finger. Separate to make it look like a bursting firecracker. Now show off your spectacular and festive jewelry!
