COUNTY ARRESTS
Fourteen individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges and on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office and troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol.
In addition to those being held on behalf of other jurisdictions and those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, January 2, and Sunday, Jan. 15, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Ruben Ernesto Diaz, 32, of San Antonio; arrested 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County Court for driving while intoxicated; released on bond after two hours.
Ronald Ross Ponce, 49, of San Antonio; arrested 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; released on bond after one day, 22 hours.
Jose Fernando Raudales-Ramos, 25, of New Caney, Texas; arrested 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (nine counts), Class A misdemeanor evading arrest, third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Jan. 16, on hold for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Sergio Arturo Hernandez Jr., 23, of San Antonio; arrested 3:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Jan. 16.
Thallan Nicholas Olivarri, 17, of Cotulla; arrested 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after two hours.
Anna Marie Rice, 24, of Austin; arrested 3:16 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Travis County for bond forfeiture on a charge of driving while intoxicated; released on bond after one hour.
Ramon Saavedra, 73, of Pearsall; arrested 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony driving while intoxicated (third or more offense); released on bond after one day, 21 hours.
Mark Anthony Garcia, 20, of San Antonio; arrested 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons, third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Jan. 16.
Jasper Manuel Eguia Jr., 28, of Dilley; arrested 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor unlawfully carrying a weapon, state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, Class B misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2A, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after five hours.
Chase Tyquan Stoker, 27, of Marshall, Texas; arrested 1:08 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts); released on bond after three days, 13 hours.
Alyssa Caitlyn Earl, 24, of Marshall, Texas; arrested 1:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (two counts), Class A misdemeanor unlawfully carrying a weapon; released on bond after 19 hours.
Oscar Oro-Centurion, 31, of Houston; arrested 8:12 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, by the Texas DPS; second-degree felony smuggling of persons for pecuniary benefit; released on bond after one day, four hours.
Rene Sanchez, 57, of Encinal; arrested 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court in a state jail felony charge of driving while intoxicated (third or more offense); remained in jail Monday, Jan. 16.
Abel Ynocencio Gonzalez, 30, of Cotulla; arrested 10:04 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; remained in jail Monday, Jan. 16.
