Cinnamon Bread
As I’m drawing closer to time for the La Salle County Fair & Wild Hog Cook-Off down in Cotulla, it starts to really invade every part of my life. Just your luck, there’s been some great recipes shared with the Fair Association over the years, and they released a cookbook once!

Cinnamon Bread, as provided by Kelsey Weeks
Mix Well:
1 c. starter
1 c. oil
1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
In a separate bowl mix:
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
1 c. chopped nuts
Add dry ingredients to 1st mixture. Mix well. Spray 2 loaf pans with Pam. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Pour batter in pans. Sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
My opinion… remember, in most recipes: nuts are optional.
