Dilley rallied back from double-digit deficits against Natalia and Cotulla last week in collecting a pair of dramatic wins and climbing into playoff contention in district basketball action last week.
Jorge Herrada finished with 17 points and Sebastian Garcia added 16 in the win over Cotulla.
The Wolves trailed by as many as 17 points in the second half before making a run to force overtime.
Cotulla led 29-21 at halftime and then proceeded to go on a 9-o run to open the third and pull out to a 38-21 lead. Dilley countered with a 12-1 run to close the third and trailed by six going into the fourth.
The Wolves then tied things up in the fourth and pulled away in overtime for the two-point victory.
Prior to the Cotulla win, Dilley took on Natalia on January 17 and found themselves in a 13-0 first period hole. Dilley pulled within nine in the third and poured on the pressure to close the game and secured the 52-45 win over the Mustangs.
The Wolves move to 2-1 in District 28-3A action, tied for second with Crystal City. Lytle sits atop the standings at 3-0 while Cotulla and Hondo are a game back in fourth place at 1-2 apiece. Natalia is currently winless at 0-3.
Dilley hosted Crystal City Tuesday night in a key outing and will also play host to Hondo on Friday, January 27.
