Kingston Martinez and Gabriel Gutierrez were both seventh in their respective weight classes while Ariel Hernandez was tenth in his division at the event.
“They did good, each one of them finished seventh in their respective weight classes,” PHS Head Powerlifting Coach Jeremy Boatwright said. “I feel like we left some weight on the board, though.
“Overall, Kingston Martinez and Ariel Hernandez both surpassed 1,400 lbs., hitting their season best, and Gabriel Gutierrez lifted hurt with a very painful shoulder and still managed a personal record in deadlift. It took a lot of guts from him to fight through the pain.”
