Brenda Lea Trevino
Brenda Lea Trevino is a candidate for election to Place 7 on the Pearsall City Council.
Trevino was born in Dilley to Adolfo III and Alvina Garcia Patterson; she has three sisters and two brothers, graduated from Dilley High School in 1986 and from Bee County College School of Cosmetology in 1987. From 1991 to 2002, she owned and operated a hair salon in Pearsall.
“Being a business owner gave me the opportunity to meet many wonderful citizens of Pearsall,” she said. “ I was able to work from home and dedicate my time to my children when they were younger. These were the years that I can say that I learned to juggle motherhood and being a business owner, and succeeded at both.”
She is the wife of Reynaldo Trevino, who has been a law enforcement officer for Pearsall and Frio County and is the investigator for the county attorney. The couple’s four children graduated from Pearsall High School.
Since 1995, the couple has bought and sold real estate, owned a trailer park, and operated a property rental business.
“I am an extremely hard worker,” Trevino said. “I will not shy away from hard work or making difficult decisions when it comes to working for the city of Pearsall. I have always taken pride in being a strong-willed, honest, straightforward person. I firmly believe that when a person shakes your hand and gives you their word.. it is as good as gold.”
Trevino has served on the council for six years.
“I had to make some problematical decisions that weren’t always popular among my constituents, but they were in the best interest of the people of Pearsall,” she said. “If elected, I will continue to keep Pearsall’s best interest first and work tirelessly to improve this city which we all love and call home.”
