The Frio County jobless rate rose to 3.8 percent in February, up from 3.5 percent rate the previous month in the Workforce Solutions Alamo (WSA) jobs report.
The unemployment rate is lower than the 4.3-percent rate of the 13-county Workforce Development Area and lower than the 4.5 percent rate for Texas. Frio County’s rate was third lowest in the 13-county WDA area and 362 people are actively looking and available for work.
Workforce Solutions Alamo (WSA) released February 2023 unemployment data for the Alamo Region including Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson counties.
WSA reports the February 2023 unadjusted unemployment rate for the eight-county San Antonio-New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area rose to 4.3 percent, an increase from the 3.9 percent rate reported in January 2023.
