BI-DISTRICT SOFTBALL PLAYOFFS
LADY MAVS CRUSH PLEASANTON IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE, OPEN PLAYOFFS AT BEEVILLE
Pearsall crushed Pleasanton 17-2 in their regular season finale to secure the runner-up spot in District 29-4A and will take on Rockport-Fulton this week in a best-of-three bi-district playoff series.
The Lady Mavs finished tied for first in the standings at 10-2 overall with Floresville but the Lady Tigers earned a season sweep over Pearsall in league play.
Pearsall’s first round series against Rockport-Fulton opens Thursday evening, April 27 at 7 p.m. in Beeville. Game two is slated for Friday, April 28 in Kenedy at 7 p.m., (depending on results from the regional track meet).
A third game, if needed, is scheduled for Saturday, April 29 at 7 p.m. in Kenedy.
Pearsall will be the home team in game one and the visiting team in game two.
The winner will take on the victor between Zapata and Robstown in an area playoff contest next weekend.
Pearsall capped a 16-7 regular season and went 10-2 and were runners-up in District 29-4A.
