Emergency responders cut the driver of a U-Haul truck out of his cab after a crash on an overpass in the northbound lanes of IH-35 at Dilley on Monday afternoon, April 24, while a medical evacuation helicopter was en route to transport him to a San Antonio hospital. According to early reports on the incident, traffic congestion in a series of single-lane road repair zones may have contributed to the driver being involved in the collision.
