COUNTY ARRESTS
Thirty-seven individuals were arrested in La Salle County during the last two weeks of April on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges and on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and officers of the Encinal Police Department.
In addition to those being held on behalf of other jurisdictions and those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, April 17, and Sunday, April 30, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Emiliano Uriarte Valdes, 24, of San Antonio; arrested 5:15 a.m. Monday, April 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after ten hours.
Ernesto Felipe Lara, 22, of Cotulla; arrested 10:25 a.m. Monday, April 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court; released on bond after five hours.
Jose Raul Leija, 27, of Laredo; arrested 2:43 p.m. Monday, April 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2; released on bond after 21 hours.
Louis Angel Renteria, 39, of Corpus Christi, Texas; arrested 9:50 p.m. Monday, April 17, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued in Nueces County for revocation of probation on a charge of robbery; transferred after eight days, 22 hours.
Ashley Ann Martinez, 35, of Corpus Christi, Texas; arrested 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Nueces County for abandoning or endangering a child; transferred after seven days, 23 hours.
Sergio Millan Garcia, 34, of San Antonio; arrested 8:53 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (four counts); released on bond after 22 hours.
Anthony Lucas Perales, 25, of Dilley; arrested 1:35 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; released on bond after 14 hours.
Conner Hutcheson Seal, 26, of San Antonio; arrested 9:32 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Texas DPS; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second-degree felony smuggling of persons fleeing, state jail felony evading arrest with a vehicle; released on bond after one day, 12 hours.
Ricardo Oscar Nieto, 36, of Donna, Texas; arrested 10:39 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle County Court for failure to appear in court on a charge of felony smuggling of persons (four counts); remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Steven Martinez, 31, of Laredo; arrested 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for probation violation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Reynaldo Ramirez Jr., 36, of Dilley; arrested 11:36 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 JP for possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia, warrants issued by Pct. 3 JP for driving while license is not valid and violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after two hours.
Veronica Canales, 36, of Dilley; arrested 11:54 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana, warrant issued by US Marshals Service for smuggling undocumented immigrants; transferred after one day, four hours.
Sarita Luna Marquez, 41, of Cotulla; arrested 5:06 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 2 JP for failure to maintain financial responsibility (two counts), driving without a license, and driving with an expired license; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Jesus Nieto Jr., 28, of Cotulla; arrested 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Gilbert Israel Lara Jr., 28, of Gardendale; arrested 9:06 a.m. Thursday, April 20, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 2 JP for driving while license is not valid, littering, and speeding; released after ten days.
Nayeli Cervera, 21, of Cotulla; arrested 2:06 p.m. Thursday, April 20, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after three hours.
Homero Rene Ramirez, 39, of Cotulla; arrested 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after one day.
Stephany Marie Robledo, 31, of San Antonio; arrested 8:38 a.m. Saturday, April 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Bexar County for burglary of a habitation by force; released on bond after two days, seven hours.
Janina Nicole Miranda, 32, of Cotulla; arrested 11:40 a.m. Saturday, April 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 3 JP for driving while license is not valid (two counts), and failure to appear in court, warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for violating a promise to appear in court (three counts), warrants issued by Pct. 2 JP for unauthorized use of emergency lights and driving with expired registration, warrant issued in La Salle County Court for criminal trespass; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Steven Mendoza, 32, of Hickory Hills, Illinois; arrested 4:25 p.m. Saturday, April 22, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons; released on bond after one hour.
Abel Galvan Jr., 49, of Cotulla; arrested 11:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 JP for public intoxication; released on bond after 13 hours.
Jazlen Angalena Tovar, 21, of San Antonio; arrested 2:12 p.m. Monday, April 24, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle County for bond forfeiture (three counts) on a second-degree felony charge of abandoning or endangering a child, on a third-degree felony charge of evading arrest with a vehicle, and on a state jail felony charge of possession of marijuana; released on bond after three hours.
Cristian Alud Fernandez, 22, of Crosby, Texas; arrested 9:49 p.m. Monday, April 24, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; released on bond after one day, 15 hours.
Francisco Javier Salinas, 37, of Laredo; arrested 2:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, by the Texas DPS; Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana, third-degree felony smuggling of persons, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 2 JP for driving without a license, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for violating a promise to appear in court; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Leo Hernandez, 38, of Cotulla; arrested 2:34 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after 20 hours.
Brett C. Peet, 52, of San Antonio; arrested 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts); released on bond after one day, 15 hours.
Eduardo Moncivais, 47, of Garland, Texas; arrested 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for probation violation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
William Vallejo, 33, of Palestine, Texas; arrested 4:42 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony driving while intoxicated (third or more offense); released on bond after two days, 16 hours.
Victoria Isabel Teneyuca, 24, of Cotulla; arrested 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, by the Sheriff’s Office; second-degree felony improper relationship between educator and student; released on bond after 18 hours.
Justin Cole Perkins, 25, of Conroe, Texas; arrested 9:01 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons; released on bond after one day, two hours.
Alexis Mireya Hernandez, 26, of Conroe, Texas; arrested 9:32 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons; released on bond after one day, two hours.
Noe Gutierrez, 46, of Cotulla; arrested 12:55 a.m. Thursday, April 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Austin Parole Board for parole violation on a charge of larceny; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Roxana Canales, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 12:55 a.m. Thursday, April 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana, third-degree felony and second-degree felony possession of controlled substances in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Delores Marie Reno, 49, of Cotulla; arrested 10:35 p.m. Thursday, April 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, Class B misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 4; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Ruben Antonio Contreras, 28, of Mercedes, Texas; arrested 11:28 p.m. Thursday, April 27, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued in Hidalgo County for failure to appear in court; remained in jail Monday, May 1.
Gerardo Gonzalez-Gutierrez, 40, of Lewisville, Texas; arrested 2 a.m. Friday, April 28, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Denton County for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while intoxicated (second offense); released on bond after two days, 18 hours.
Jesus Ramirez Jr., 31, of Cotulla; arrested 10:14 p.m. Saturday, April 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for state jail felony possession of a controlled substance, warrants issued in La Salle County Court for Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class A misdemeanor possession of dangerous drugs, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 JP for Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest; remained in jail Monday. May 1.
