Cotulla High School senior Allyse Leija has earned a scholarship to Dallas Christian College. She was awarded a $6,000 academic scholarship and a $2,000 DCIS scholarship for a total of $32,000 over four years. Leija, a four-year letterman in volleyball, basketball, softball and track will play softball collegiately. She is a member of the Los Jefes Chapter of the National Honor Society, student council, and is a Class of 2023 officer. Allyse will graduate with an Associate of Arts degree from Southwest Texas Junior College on Friday, May 19. The decorated student is the daughter of Mario Leija and Abel Garcia.
