Jim Spurlock, 84, died on May 18, 2023 in Schertz, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arnold Spurlock and Laura Spurlock, son Michael Spurlock and daughter-in-law Mary Spurlock, son Bill Spurlock and daughter Karen Spurlock, brother Chester Spurlock.

Jim is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Spurlock, son Jimmy Spurlock (Leslie), daughter Cheryl Spurlock, sister-in-law Josey Leal, brothers Charlie Spurlock, Carl Gay, sisters Mary Combs, Freeda Hoskins, grandsons William Spurlock, Bryan Spurlock, Todd Carey, James Spurlock, granddaughters Amber Espinoza, Taeler Gauthier, Sydney Spurlock, Hailey Spurlock, seven great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24 at the First Baptist Church in Dilley. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.
