DILLEY SPORTS BANQUET
Dilley athletes and their achievements this season were in the spotlight last week as they were honored during the annual sports banquet at the high school cafetorium Tuesday evening, May 23.
Jonavyn Gonzalez and Reyna Martel, both multi-sport athletes for Dilley, were named the All-Around Male and Female Athletes during the event.
Following a meal and the lauding of all athletes that participated this year, coaches awarded superlatives in each respective sport.
Those earning awards are as follows: Football: MVPs – Esai Lozano & Adrian Carrazco, Offensive MVPs – Seth Cano & Colton Ward, Defensive MVPs – Aiden Gonzalez & Roman Martel, Special Teams – Dorian Aranda, Saul Obregon Award – Jonavyn Gonzalez; Volleyball: MVP – Jazlynn Bradshaw; Cross Country: Boys’ MVPs – Xavier Hernandez & Abraham Rodriguez, Girls MVP – Jewlea Tate; Basketball: Girls’ MVPs – Janae Galindo & Ja’sellie Castillo, Boys’ MVPs – Jorge Herrada & Sebastian Garcia; Powerlifting: Boys MVP – Chris Medrano, Girls’ MVP – Kelsey Eguia & Reyna Martel; Golf: MVP – Kristianah Prado; Tennis: MVPs Angelique Flores, Jazlynn Bradshaw & Alexis Valdez; Softball: MVP – Reyna Martel; Baseball: MVP – Jesse Hernandez; Track: Girls’ MVPs – Field Events – Janae Galindo & Dakota San Miguel, Runner – Chloe Rodriguez, Boys’ MVPs – Field Events – Dorian Aranda, Runner – Dorian Aranda & Esai Lozano.
