SUSPECT CHARGED WITH SHARING INFORMATION ON VOTES…

Margie Gallardo
A Pearsall woman was arrested on a misdemeanor charge earlier this month for allegedly unlawfully revealing information before polls close during the recent municipal and school board elections.
Pearsall police say they were dispatched an hour before polls closed on Saturday, May 6, to a polling site at Ted Flores Elementary School.
Emergency dispatchers told investigating officers that they had received a call alleging that a woman inside the building had unlawfully revealed information related to the status of the municipal and school board elections before official results had been calculated.
A warrant was issued eleven days later for the accused, who has been identified as 39-year-old Margie Gallardo.
Pearsall police say Gallardo was arrested at her place of employment in Cotulla on Wednesday, May 17. She was transported to the Frio County Jail and later later released on a $5,000 surety bond.
According to a prepared statement by Police Chief Daniel Flores, the investigation is ongoing and the department has sought assistance from the Texas Rangers Criminal Investigation Division to conduct a thorough investigation for all those involved.
