Lucia Banda, 89, of Pearsall, died on May 23, 2023. She was born on September 16, 1933 in Pearsall to Vicente Tovar and Feliza Hernandez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons Richard Banda, Amparo Banda, Lionel Banda and Jose “Joe” Banda, as well as numerous brothers and sisters.

Lucia is survived by her husband Jesus Banda, children Conrad Banda (Patricia), Fermin Banda (Maria), Rosario Reyes (Armando), Antonio Banda (Belen), Anselmo Banda (Angie), Mario Banda (Virginia), Ester Gutierrez (Juan), Sandra Vinton (Joseph), Jackie Chapa (Ruben), Alejandro Banda and Monica Banda. She is survived by five generations of grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 29 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Pearsall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Services concluded after visitation.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Dilley.
