Margarita P. Velasquez, 71, of Pearsall died on May 20, 2023. She was born on March 5, 1952 in Bigfoot to Anselmo Perez and Emilia Ramirez Perez.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Eufelia Selvera of Derby.

Margarita is survived by her husband of 56 years Rudy G. Velasquez, children Rudy Velasquez II (Myra) of Corpus Christi, Zap Velasquez (Macy) of Schertz, Norma Rodriguez (Rene) of Pearsall, Sonny Velasquez (Sherrie) of Kansas City, MI and Ruby Velasquez (Janie) of Pearsall and sister Susanna Perez of Derby. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 25 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Pearsall from 3 to 9 p.m. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held on Friday, May 26 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the VFW Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Dilley.
