Maria “Paloma” Garza, 64, died on May 17, 2023. She was born to Beatrice R. Alaniz and Roberto Garza on June 11, 1958.

Maria was raised in Moore by her grandparents Bernardino Alaniz and Adelina R. Alaniz.

She is survived by her children Dalia S. Garza and Jonathan (Cameo) Garza, granddaughters Alloysuss Alaniz Garza, Lanai Juliette Garza, Roselaine Josefine Garza and Xiomara Paloma Antonia Garza, siblings, Juan Medrano, Sonia Barrera, Felipa Garcia and Camelia (Tomas) Garcia. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 20 at Peters Funeral Home from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Services were held on Saturday, May 20 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Cristo Rey Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
