Chacon, 80

Javier Salas Aguero Chacon, 80, of Terrabonne, Oregon, died on March 4, 2023. He was born on December 3, 1942 in Goldfinch, Texas to Secundino “Cundo” Aguero Chacon and Trinidad Salas Chacon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, cousin Frank Aguero of Pearsall and sister-in-law Paula Chacon of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Javier is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Ann Malone Chacon, children from a previous marriage Larry, Javier Jr. and Bobby Chacon, all of California along with his grandchildren and daughters-in-law. He is also survived by his brothers Alvino Chacon of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mike Chacon and wife Esther Chacon of Pearsall and Mario Segovia, sister Juanita Chacon Pena and husband Jose Pena of Michigan, Diana Chacon, Rosalinda C. Molina and Nancy Reyes of Pearsall, cousin Maria Villarreal and husband Simon Villarreal Santos and Johnny Ventura of Pearsall and Carmela and Diana and numerous nieces and nephews.

Javier enjoyed road trips from Oregon to visit family and friends. His many stops in life included in California, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Pearsall.

Following his cremation, Javier was laid to rest in Texas alongside his parents. The family extended a special thanks to Father Jesus Camacho for his words and prayers.
