Two-year-old Abramh “Juju” Brooks makes his happy way to the water at the Pearsall Municipal Swimming Pool on a hot afternoon last week while family and friends enjoy cooling off from the daytime heat at the facility. Temperatures across South Texas have exceeded 110 degrees daily in late June and heat indexes have crept past 120 degrees, bringing children and adults to public pools in Pearsall, Dilley and Cotulla.
