Rosita (Rosa) G. Martinez, 87, died on June 30, 2023 in Cotulla. She was born on December 19, 1935 in Dilley to Juan Gonzales and Ramona Rios.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband David L. Martinez.

Rosa is survived by daughters Rose Mary Salazar Moreno of Houston and Velma Guzman Lumbreras (Adolfo L.) of Cotulla, brother Manuel Gonzales (Esperanza) of Dilley, grandsons David, Anthony, Daniel, Nathan, Michael and Diego. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included Anthony, Daniel, Nathan, Michael, and Diego.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 3 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Dilley at 9 a.m. Funeral mass was celebrated Thursday, July 6 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Dilley.
