Dorothy Ann Moore Moffett Wilson

Dorothy Ann Moore Moffett Wilson, 96, formerly of Dilley, died at her home on July 23, 2023. She was born on May 25, 1927 to Georgia and Tom Moore in Frio County.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Tarver Moffet, her husband Bill Wilson and her son Tom Moore Moffett.

Dorothy is survived by sons Wendel Wilson and wife Susan, Randy Wilson and daughter Lou Ann Ellison and her husband Wayne.

She taught numerous students in Dilley, Jasper, and Lohn, Texas and while living in Lubbock, she worked at JCPenney. After moving to Ruidoso, New Mexico, she worked for Pioneer Savings and in her later years, spent time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while also volunteering at the Ruidoso Public Library.

Services were held on Sunday, July 30 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Ruidoso.  Memorial donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the High Mountain Youth Project in Ruidoso.
