Pearsall police were dispatched to the scene of a lunchtime crash Monday, July 31, at the intersection of Comal Street and Louise Lane to find that two vehicles had collided head-on near the city’s iconic ‘Largest Peanut’ statue. Medics of the Frio EMS were also dispatched, although investigators have yet to announce whether any of the vehicle occupants sustained serious injury. Traffic was halted at the intersection during one of the area’s busiest periods of the day. (CURRENT Photo: Manuel Azocar III)
