12 jailed in La Salle, July 24 – August 6

COUNTY ARREST

Twelve individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges and on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and agents of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, July 24, and Sunday, August 6, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Herman William Steele, 49, of Fort Worth, Texas; arrested 11:56 p.m. Monday, July 24, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Bowie County for probation violation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; transferred after two days, 13 hours.
Rogelio Gonzales III, 41, of Cotulla; arrested 9:27 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for driving with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, warrant issued in La Salle County for parole violation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, warrants issued in Frio County for failure to appear in court on a charge of human smuggling (two counts); remained in jail Monday, Aug. 7.
Liuber Matos-Fuentes, 41, of Austin; arrested 11:43 a.m. Saturday, July 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor tampering with a government record; released on bond after 16 hours.
Jesus Antonio Canales, 32, of Dilley; arrested 2:34 a.m. Sunday, July 30, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 3 JP for running a stop sign and violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after seven hours.
Richard Dean Gomez, 27, of San Antonio; arrested 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued in Bexar County for assault causing bodily injury to a partner in marriage; released on bond after one day, four hours.
Vanessa Lin Uvalle, 30, of Fort Worth; arrested 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants
issued by La Salle County Pct. 4 JP for bond forfeiture on a felony charge of smuggling of persons (four counts); remained in jail Monday, Aug. 7.

Jesus Frank Hernandez, 25, of Laredo; arrested 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 2 JP for driving while license is not valid and possession of drug paraphernalia, warrant issued in La Salle District Court on a motion to revoke probation on a third-degree felony; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 7.
John Brian Molina, 36, of Cotulla; arrested 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 7.
Felicia Aguirre Leal, 37, of Pleasanton, Texas; arrested 3:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on a third-degree felony charge of evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 7.
Julie Nicole Hernandez, 25, of Cotulla; arrested 2:38 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, by the TABC; Class A misdemeanor sale of alcohol to minors; released on bond after seven hours.
Mary Jane Garcia, 52, of Cotulla; arrested 3:39 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, by the TABC; Class A misdemeanor sale of alcohol to minors; released on bond after six hours.
Alexandra Alvarado, 30, of Cotulla; arrested 2:46 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, by the TABC; Class A misdemeanor sale of alcohol to minors, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 2 JP for failure to maintain financial responsibility; released on bond after seven hours.
