DONATIONS TO BENEFIT AMANDA’S PANTRY FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Throughout the month of September, library fines and lost item charges will be cleared from accounts with donations of non-perishable food items to the Alexander Memorial or La Salle County libraries as part of Fine Forgiveness Month.
Items collected during the month will be donated to Amada’s Pantry located at the Cotulla Methodist Church. Patrons will have a chance to clear their fines and help the community as the holiday season approaches.
Fines for books or DVDs returned late in September will also be waived. Any books or DVDs that are a couple of years late will also be cleared.
Anyone who wishes to check their account or find out what they need to bring in to clear their account, can do so by calling the AML at (830) 879-2601 or the La Salle County Library in Encinal at (956) 625-6494.
Non-perishable food donations must not be expired, check the dates before bringing them in. One item (can, box, package) will equal $1. Anyone owing $5 can bring in five cans.
