Lucia Garcia

Lucia Garcia, 74, of Pearsall, died on August 26, 2023. She was born on October 30, 1948 in Rule, Texas to Terburcio Morales and Felecidad Shutter.She is preceded in death by her parents, son Antonio M. “Tony” Garcia, five sisters and a brother.Lucia is survived by her children Maggie Montemayor of Pearsall, Rebecca (Paul) Collinsworth of Garland, Peter (Teresa) Garcia of Garland, Paul Garcia (Norma), Janie Garcia (Joe) of San Marcus, Frank (Yvonne) Garcia of Irving and Teresa Garcia (Eliel) of Pearsall, siblings Teresa Maldonado, Freddy Morales, Pete Morales, Manuel Morales and Margie Martinez, father of children Roman Garcia. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers included Joe Garcia, Steven Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Jerry Dominguez, Mary Jo Munoz, Joe Elizondo, Paul Garcia Jr and Natalia Doughty.Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 29 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3 to 9 p.m. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 30 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Pearsall Cemetery.Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
