The Super Blue Moon, one of the biggest and brightest moons of the year, rises in the night sky over Pearsall Wednesday, August 30. The event marked the last Super Blue Moon until 2037. This Blue Moon was a “supermoon,” a popular term for a full moon that is closer to Earth, making it appear just slightly larger and brighter in the sky. (CURRENT Photo: Manuel Azocar III)
