The Bigfoot Volunteer Fire Department will host its 15th annual BBQ fundraiser this Saturday, September 16, at Bigfoot Park.
Department members will be serving barbecue brisket and sausage plates for $12 starting at 11 a.m. There will
also be a bake sale and ticket auctions with a host of items on the bid sheet.
As part of its community service efforts, the department will also have booths with representatives from different agencies providing information about a number of programs and services that are available to help those in need. Programs included are those on aging, veterans, disability and food bank services, weatherization and home repair assistance, nutrition, and agricultural services.
The Frio County Sheriff’s Office will be available to sign up landowners for the department’s popular confidential notification system and burn ban information.
