Dilley Pups improve to 3-0 with pair of wins over Poth

Dilley’s junior high Pups remained unbeaten last week as Poth knocked off Poth on Thursday to improve to 3-0 this season.
The seventh grade Pups earned a 30-14 rout of the Pirates while the eighth graders edged by Poth 10-6.
Eaithan Rodriguez scored all four of the seventh grade Pup’s touchdowns and 2-point conversions. Jordan Espinoza was a force on the defensive side with several sacks, tackles, and a safety.
Joseph Lopez contributed big for the eighth grade Pups, accounting for their only touchdown and a safety on defense. E.J. Sambrano guided the Pups and converted the 2-point conversion after the touchdown. Defensively, Nathaniel Torres had a big night with several sacks and tackles for losses. Sambrano picked off a Poth pass late in the fourth quarte to secure the victory.
Dilley will take on Pearsall this Thurday.
