Dana Torres
A Pearsall woman found herself behind bars after Frio County deputies discovered narcotics during a routine traffic stop on Friday afternoon.
Deputies say they effected a traffic stop near the intersection of Willow and Neches streets around 3:45 p.m. after the driver, later identified as 41-year-old habitual offender Dana Torres, committed a traffic violation.
Torres, the only occupant in the 2016 Nissan sedan, was in possession of several bags that contained methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. Deputies noted the narcotics were in plain sight on the vehicle’s passenger seat.
A quantity of US currency was also recovered in the case.
The woman was transported to the Frio County Jail without further incident and faces two felony charges for the possession of a controlled substance and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
“These narcotics were discovered during a routine traffic stop,” Chief Deputy Peter Salinas said. “Deputies will continue to remain vigilant by monitoring traffic, daily, in all of Frio County.”

Cash, cocaine, meth and marijuana were seized in Torres’ arrest.
