Elena G. Garcia, 79, died on January 8, 2024. She was born on January 27, 1944 to Albino and Gregoria Gonzales.

Garcia is preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren Carlos Martinez Jr., Alba M. Garcia and her siblings, Ramon Gonzales, Tomas Gonzales, Juan Gonzales, Joe Gonzales, Eddie Gonzales, and Herminia Sauceda.

Garcia is survived by her husband Margarito B. Garcia, children Anna M. (Carlos) Martinez, Juan F. Garcia, and Luz M. Garcia, grandchildren Gabriel (Liza) Martinez, Nathan Martinez, Elvira G. Garcia, Leah M. Swinney and siblings Jesusa Gonzalez, Elia (Pilo) Rosales, Marta Gonzales, and Pedro (Linda) Gonzales. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 11 at Peters Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 11 at 1 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at the Cristo Rey Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
