Dana Torres
Habitual offender Dana Torres was arrested by Frio County deputies after a search warrant at her residence revealed a cache of illegal narcotics.
Deputies say the 41-year-old woman, who resides at an apartment complex on the far northwest side of town, was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
According to a report on the case, the narcotics were found in plain sight on a dresser along with an undisclosed amount of currency.
Torres was transported to the Frio County Jail without further incident and charged with a state jail felony for the possession of methamphetamine and a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana.
“We are thankful for all the tips and calls we received from the public,” Frio Chief Deputy Peter Salinas said. “We are only successful when our community takes a stand against this criminal element.”
Records filed at the Frio County Jail show Torres has been arrested several times since 2021 on drug charges.
