WOLF PACK RELAYS IN DILLEY
Dilley senior earns another clean sweep, nabs five first place finishes.
Dorian Aranda tallied another golden sweep as he took first in all five of his events to lead Dilley while the Lady Wolves put in another solid team effort to place third at the annual Wolf Pack Relays in Dilley last Wednesday, March 6 at Gosch Field.
Aranda was top scoring male athlete at the event with 45 points as he helped Dilley place fourth at the event.
“We had another stellar performance with times across the board continuing to improve as we head into spring break,” DHS Head Coach Victor Flores said. “It was good for our athletes to see the results of the hard work they put in day-in and day-out. We are less than four weeks out from district competition and we’re looking to continue to improvement across the board, and make necessary changes to compete for the District 28-3A championship.”
“The girls had another great showing,” DHS Girls’ Head Coach Gus Torres said. “Times continue to improve as we head into spring break.”
Alyssa Perez and Dakota San Miguel paced the team as each won gold in the long jump and discus events. Dakota was also second in the shot put.
Reagan Furnace soared in the high jump, placing third for the Lady Wolves while Chloe Rodriguez was also third in the 800m run.
