Frio to host second Resource Fiesta March 23
SJRC (formerly St. Jude’s Ranch for Children) Texas and the Belong Division will host its second annual Frio County Resource Fiesta on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fireman’s Park in Pearsall.
The event is held in recognition of Child Abuse Awareness Month in April and is open to all children and families. The Fiesta includes outdoor fun and information on the dozens of community resources available to the community.
“We are doing our part to unite and strengthen families,” SJRC Texas Director of Communications April Molina said. “There are close to 200 kids in care and about 100 kids eligible for adoption in our South Region, which includes Frio County, La Salle County, Atascosa County, Wilson County and Karnes County.
“Please join our village as we show support for foster children and kinship families on March 23rd.”
The event will include a performance by the local Folklorico Dancers, bounce house castles, raffles and free giveaways.
