COUNTY ARRESTS
Twenty-eight individuals were arrested in La Salle County during the last two weeks of March on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well as on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, officers of the Encinal Police Department, and the La Salle County Constabulary.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, March 18, and Sunday, March 31, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Noelia Renee Garcia, 31, of San Antonio; arrested 3:23 p.m. Monday, March 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on state jail felony charges of intentionally abandoning or endangering a child (four counts); released on bond after 10 days, two hours.
Cassandra Deann Mireles-Torres, 33, of San Antonio; arrested 3:39 p.m. Monday, March 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on charges of third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle (two counts); remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Jerson Hernandez-Lopez, 38, no address listed; arrested 11:20 p.m. Monday, March 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Collin County for bond forfeiture on a charge of assault causing bodily injury; transferred after 11 hours.
Joe David Rodriguez, 36, of Cotulla; arrested 12:39 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for third-degree felony possession of a prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility; remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Jessie Lee Perez, 32, of Cotulla; arrested 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for state jail felony driving while intoxicated with a child passenger under age 15; released on bond after four hours.
Abraham Alfonso Garza, 30, of San Antonio; arrested 5:17 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace for state jail felony unauthorized use of a vehicle, third-degree felony assault on a family or household member by impeding breath or circulation, and Class A misdemeanor interfering with an emergency call; remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Javier Zamora Jr., 20, of Laredo; arrested 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County for felony evading arrest with a vehicle; transferred after 23 hours.
Thomas Joe Haseltine, 60, of Corpus Christi, Texas; arrested 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; transferred after eight days, 23 hours.
Jean Carlos Arocho-Rodriguez, 21, of Encinal; arrested 1:24 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, by the Encinal PD; second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Kelly Canales, 31, of Cotulla; arrested 3:27 a.m. Thursday, March 21, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after eight hours.
Jesus Mariano Santiago-Rangel, 36, of San Antonio; arrested 12:01 a.m. Friday, March 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor driving without a license; released on bond after 12 hours.
Vincent Cantu, 50, of Taft, Texas; arrested 4:13 a.m. Friday, March 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (four counts); remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Samuel Flores, 31, of Cotulla; arrested 9:39 a.m. Friday, March 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after three hours.
Jennifer Rae Story, 44, of Oneida, New York; arrested 11:54 a.m. Friday, March 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Noe Reese Sanchez, 36, of Cotulla; arrested 2:40 a.m. Saturday, March 23, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor unlawfully discharging a firearm; released on bond after 12 hours.
Hector Javier Valdez, 33, of Laredo; arrested 10:04 p.m. Sunday, March 24, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for misdemeanor driving with expired registration; released on bond after 17 hours.
Ronchella Carter, 19, of San Antonio; arrested 1:15 a.m. Monday, March 25, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Kendall County for failure to appear in court on a Class B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana; transferred after one day, eight hours.
Viny Sifuentes, 30, of Asherton, Texas; arrested 2:18 p.m. Monday, March 25, by the Pct. 2 Constable’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 3 JP for misdemeanor driving without a license ands misdemeanor violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after 23 hours.
Adian Giovanni Zavala, 19, of Cotulla; arrested 6:24 p.m. Monday, March 25, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Evan Ernesto Montalvo, 19, of San Antonio; arrested 6:08 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons, second-degree felony smuggling of persons under age 18; released on bond after 17 hours.
Vanessa Nazyelly Bernal, 31, of Del Valle, Texas; arrested 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, by the Pct. 4 Constable’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for failure to appear in court; released on bond after two hours.
Jorge Alberto Rodriguez, 42, of Cotulla; arrested 12 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, warrants issued by Pct. 3 JP for misdemeanor driving without a license and misdemeanor failure to appear in court; remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Jeremiah Bienemy Acosta, 31, of Taft, Texas; arrested 12 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (four counts), second-degree felony smuggling of persons under age 18; released on bond after one day, 19 hours.
Juan Alfredo Tagle, 34, of Pharr, Texas; arrested 2:37 a.m. Thursday, March 28, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor public intoxication; released on bond after 11 hours.
Timothy Dwaine Livingston, 46, of Del Rio, Texas; arrested 11:40 a.m. Thursday, March 28, by the Texas DPS; first-degree felony smuggling of persons and causing serious bodily injury or death (two counts); remained in jail Monday, April 1.
Jon Eric Martinez, 17, of Cotulla; arrested 1:47 a.m. Friday, March 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; arrested 1:47 a.m. Friday, March 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor evading arrest; released on bond after 12 hours.
Jared Lee Manzanares, 24, of Pearsall; arrested 4:10 p.m. Friday, March 29, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued in Beeville for aggravated robbery; released on bond after one day, four hours.
Beatrice Blanco, 42, of San Antonio; arrested 6:06 p.m. Friday, March 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts); released on bond after one day, one hour.
