The report from the sheriff’s office indicates a 2014 Ford Expedition collided with the back of a commercial freight truck near Milemarker 91 shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, April 7.
The driver, later identified as Dilley native Paul Park Brown, 37, had been traveling northbound on IH-35 when his vehicle became pinned underneath the freight truck. Brown was trapped in the cab of his SUV.
According to a report on the case filed at the Frio County Sheriff’s Office, Brown succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown was a 2005 Dilley High School graduate and an active member of the Lighthouse Church, attending every Sunday to play guitar and sing. He leaves behind a wife, Kierstan, and three sons, Hesston, Justice and Dakota.
