Twenty-eight individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well as on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, the La Salle County Constabulary, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and officers of the Encinal Police Department.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, April 15, and Sunday, April 28, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Luis Marcel Alves-Gomez, 48, of Pearland, Texas; arrested 11:43 p.m. Monday, April 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (two counts); remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Adrian Vera-Fuentes, 26, of San Antonio; arrested 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, by the Texas DPS; second-degree felony smuggling of persons (four counts), state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Cassandra Rene Laguna, 33, of Cotulla; arrested 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury; released on bond after four hours.
Ted Saldivar Jr., 29, of Port Isabel, Texas; arrested 1:35 a.m. Thursday, April 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor failure to identify as a fugitive, state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, warrant issued by Texas Department of Criminal Justice / Austin Parole Division for burglary of a building; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Randy Ramirez, 45, of Cotulla; arrested 6:09 p.m. Thursday, April 18, by the Texas DPS; warrants issued in Wilson County for third-degree felony possession of a dangerous drug (two counts); transferred after four days, 16 hours.
Teresa Marie Zamora, 31, of Port Isabel, Texas; arrested 7:52 p.m. Friday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts); released on bond after four hours.
Jody Rick Pena, 45, of Corpus Christi, Texas; arrested 9:11 p.m. Friday, April 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; mud flap violation, warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for driving while license is not valid; released on bond after 14 hours.
Mario Angel Ruiz, 24, of Crystal City, Texas; arrested 2:01 a.m. Saturday, April 20, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; released on bond after one day, 18 hours.
Matthew Ryan Perales, 20, of Cotulla; arrested 2:11 p.m. Monday, April 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for probation violation on a state jail felony charge of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Francisco Javier Ambriz, 39, of Laredo; arrested 5:03 p.m. Monday, April 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for state jail felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Oralia Aguilar, 63, of Cotulla; arrested 11:09 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after five hours.
Thomas Joe Haseltine, 60, of Corpus Christi, Texas; arrested 2:44 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Ruben Vela, 53, of Cotulla; arrested 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Jose Guadalupe Salazar-Carrion, 48, of Dallas; arrested 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, by the Pct. 2 Constable’s Office; warrant issued in Dallas County for driving while intoxicated (third or more offense); released on bond after two days, three hours.
Noe Gutierrez, 47, of Cotulla; arrested 11:43 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b (two counts), Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana, warrants issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on charges of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b and evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Jerry Rene Bush, 59, of Seminary, Mississippi; arrested 2:57 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County Court for Class B misdemeanor driving while license is not valid, warrant issued by Pct. 3 JP for third-degree felony driving while intoxicated with an open container of alcohol (third or more offense), warrant issued by Auston Parole Board for parole violation driving under the influence of alcohol; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Charlie Chan Williams Jr., 38, of Lewisville, Texas; arrested 4 p.m. Thursday, April 25, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued by Dallas – Fort Worth Airport for Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury; released on bond after 18 hours.
Maxwell Alexander Vines, 28, of Waco, Texas; arrested 9:12 p.m. Thursday, April 25, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; released on bond after 16 hours.
Luke Clarence Sanders, 41, of Jourdanton, Texas; arrested 6:53 a.m. Friday, April 26, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued in Atascosa County for probation violation on a charge of family violence assault; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Yader Josue Calero-Guido, 30, of Dallas; arrested 9:40 a.m. Friday, April 26, by the Texas DPS; second-degree felony smuggling of persons for pecuniary benefit (four counts); transferred after one day to custody of US Customs & Border Protection.
Honorio Medina-Duran, 28, of Nashville, Arkansas; arrested 9:40 a.m. Friday, April 26, by the Texas DPS; Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest; transferred after one day, one hour, to custody of US Customs & Border Protection.
Charles Wayne Seidel II, 32, of Cotulla; arrested 1:45 p.m. Friday, April 26, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Bexar County for Class A misdemeanor interfering with an emergency call; released on bond after 10 hours.
Eduardo Alejandro Garcia, 20, of Laredo; arrested 1:09 a.m. Saturday, April 27, by the Texas DPS; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; released on bond after 16 hours.
Gerardo DeLaCruz-DeLaCruz, 46, of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; arrested 8:10 p.m. Saturday, April 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Dallas County for driving while intoxicated; released on bond after one day, four hours.
Juan Oscar Membreno-Blanco, 47, of Cotulla; arrested 2:04 a.m. Sunday, April 28, by the Texas DPS; Class A misdemeanor driving while intoxicated with an open container of alcohol (second offense), warrant issued in Montague County for deadly conduct; remained in jail Monday, April 29.
Victor Ricardo Cruz Jr., 44, of Cotulla; arrested 4:55 a.m. Sunday, April 28, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for theft of property up to $750 in value; released on bond after nine hours.
Raymundo Leal, 21, of Pearsall; arrested 10:47 p.m. Sunday, April 28, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor reckless driving; released on bond after 11 hours.
