Christina Garza
A Pearsall woman found herself back behind bars last week after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine.
Frio County deputies say the Tuesday, April 23, interception took place on County Road 2779, known as Berry Ranch Road, after the driver of a green Mercedes committed a traffic violation.
According to a report on the case, deputies approached the sedan and identified two of the three vehicle occupants as having been previously arrested for narcotics possession.
A passenger identified as 39-year-old Christina Garza reportedly told investigating deputies that she was free on bond for a narcotics felony possession charge.
Deputies requested assistance from the drug-detecting canine, which indicated the possible presence of narcotics in the trunk of the car.
Garza allegedly claimed ownership of the methamphetamine that was discovered in the vehicle; the woman was transported to the Frio County Jail without further incident.
