Fire departments can apply for retired work truck

Medina Electric Cooperative is accepting applications from area volunteer fire departments for a retired fleet truck.
Volunteer fire departments can be from any of the 17 counties where the cooperative provides service.
The application deadline is Monday, July 1. The vehicle available this year is a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series four-wheel drive service truck with approximately 170,000 miles.

Medina EC has offered the program to volunteer fire departments in its service area for eight years. Past recipients of retired trucks have included Escobares VFD, San Diego VFD, Devine VFD, Sabinal VFD, Nueces Canyon VFD, Reagan Wells VFD, Christine VFD, El Cenizo VFD of Webb County and the Atascosa-Bexar County Line of Atascosa County VFD.
