26 jailed in La Salle, July 22 – August 4

COUNTY ARRESTS

Twenty-six individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well as on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, officers of the Encinal Police Department, and officers of the county constabulary.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, July 22, and Sunday, August 4, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Pilar Hayde Garcia, 36, of Rio Bravo, Texas; arrested 5:40 p.m. Monday, July 22, by the Texas DPS; Class A misdemeanor driving while intoxicated (second offense), third-degree felony assault on a public servant, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 JP for violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after 13 days, 15 hours.
James Robert Goff Jr., 53, of Louisville, Kentucky; arrested 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, by the Encinal PD; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, third-degree felony smuggling of persons (16 counts); released on bond after one day, 21 hours.
Jaime Rebolledo-Manzanilla, 21, of Laredo; arrested 3:27 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County Court for failure to appear in court on a Class B misdemeanor charge of reckless driving; remained in jail on hold for immigration officials Monday, Aug. 5.
Gregory Paul Granato, 33, of Melbourne, Florida; arrested 4:24 p.m. Friday, July 26, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 5.
Thomas Lee Henry, 22, of Victoria, Texas; arrested 3:01 a.m. Saturday, July 27, (arresting agency not listed); warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for failure to appear in court (two counts); released on bond after nine hours.
Leroy Garza-Facundo, 49, of Encinal; arrested 11:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27, by the Encinal PD; warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for driving without a license and seatbelt violation, and warrant issued for failure to appear in court; released after one day, 13 hours.
Steven James Cardenas, 37, of San Antonio; arrested 3:45 a.m. Sunday, July 28, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2; released on bond after two days, 11 hours.
Julio Alberto Castano, 30, of San Antonio; arrested 5:22 a.m. Monday, July 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor violating a promise to appear in court (two counts), third-degree felony warrant issued in La Salle District Court to revoke community supervision; released on bond after three hours.
Aurelio Trejo Saldana, 52, of Austin; arrested 2:20 p.m. Monday, July 29, (arresting agency not listed); Class A misdemeanor warrant issued in Travis County for bond forfeiture; released on bond after one day, two hours.
Martin Refugio Ruiz, 33, of Laredo; arrested 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 29, by the Encinal PD; warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor failure to appear in court (two counts); released on bond after 16 hours.
Lucia Rosales, 53, of Cotulla; arrested 11:47 p.m. Monday, July 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 3 JP for Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury and Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after 13 hours.
Lorbin David Campos-Matamoros, 24, of San Antonio; arrested 9:04 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Bexar County for Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a married partner; transferred after two days, one hour.
Christopher Don Rivers, 41, of Cotulla; arrested 6:57 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after 20 hours.
Silvia Guadalupe Vargas, 43, of Cotulla; arrested 1:53 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; warraqnt issued by Pct. 2 JP for second-degree felony burglary of a habitation; released on bond after six hours.
Darnell Augustine, 43, of Cotulla; arrested 4:51 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, warrant issued in La Salle County Court for Class A misdemeanor evading arrest; released on bond after one day, 15 hours.
Brandon Ortega-Martinez, 20, of Austin; arrested 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, by the Pct. 2 Constable’s Office; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 5.
Hector Manuel Urbina, 35, of Laredo; arrested 6:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for misdemeanor driving without a license; released on bond after 17 hours.
Vicente Antonio Perez-Briceno, 27, of Lockhart, Texas; arrested 6:16 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle County Court for Class A misdemeanor failure to appear in court on charges of evading arrest and resisting arrest; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 5, on hold for immigration officials.
Joel Valenzuela Jr., 24, of Dilley; arrested 12:40 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 3 JP for misdemeanor bail jumping, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor failure to appear in court, warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor failure to appear in court (three counts); remained in jail Monday, Aug. 5.
Pedro Vinton III, 31, of Cotulla; arrested 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assauly causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after one day, 17 hours.
Melissa Zuniga, 51, of Laredo; arrested 8:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 3, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after 17 hours.
Mario Alberto Ortiz-Betancourt, 35, of Mission, Texas; arrested 11:16 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for driving while license is not valid; released on bond after 19 hours.
Mathew Iturbe, 32, of Carrizo Springs, Texas; arrested 1:33 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony assault on a pregnant person; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 5.
Israel Alexander Salas, 20, of Laredo; arrested 4:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, by the Texas DPS; second-degree felony fleeing while smuggling persons, second-degree felony smuggling of persons with a likelihood of serious bodily injury or death (11 counts), warrant issued by US Marshals Service for probation violation; remained in jail Monday, Aug. 5, on hold for US Marshals of Laredo.
Rogelio Alvarado, 69, of Cotulla; arrested 2:33 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for speeding and driving with an expired license; released on bond after 22 hours.
Dahlia Ayala, 51, of Cotulla; arrested 11:41 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury; released on bond after 17 hours.
