COUNTY ARRESTS
Twenty-two individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well as on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, officers of the Encinal Police Department, and the La Salle County Constabulary.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Tuesday, September 3, and Sunday, Sept. 15, with arrest times loggewd at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Saul Praxedis Monsivais-Celedon, 35, of Laredo; arrested 7:11 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts); released on bond after one day, one hour.
Erick Larry Martinez, 31, of El Cenizo, Texas; arrested 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (five counts); remained in jail Monday, Sept. 16.
Jack Daniel Coleman, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 9:24 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after one day, 20 hours.
Juan Gabriel Gonzalez-Hernandez, 30, of Bay City, Texas; arrested 10:08 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Matagorda County for failure to appear in court on a Class A misdemeanor charge of evading arrest; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 16.
Juan Carlos Cervantes, 42, of Cotulla; arrested 11:24 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass, Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member, Class A misdemeanor interfering with an emergency call; released on bond after one day, 14 hours.
Eduardo Javier Garcia, 24, of Zapata, Texas; arrested 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; released on bond after 12 hours.
John Brian Moliuna, 38, of Cotulla; arrested 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for misdemeanor driving without a license and misdemeanor driving while license is not valid; court-ordered release after four days, nine hours.
Anthony Carlos Gonzales Jr., 23, of Cotulla; arrested 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; released on bond after nine hours.
Annette Rae Elizondo, 40, of Cotulla; arrested 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for failure to maintain financial responsibility, driving with defective headlights, driving with defective taillights, and driving with expired vehicle registration; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 16.
Eric Scott Sierra, 46, of Cotulla; arrested 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after eight hours.
Anthony DeLeon Hernandez, 52, of Cotulla; arrested 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 16.
Clarence Delphie, 39, of Laredo; arrested 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, by the Pct. 2 Constable’s Office; warrants issued in Webb County for felony failure to appear in court on a charge of involvement in an accident with injury and Class B misdemeanor failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while intoxicated; transferred after two days, six hours.
Mario Perez, 57, of Encinal; arrested 4:29 p.,m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued in La Salle County Court for second-degree felony indecency with a child by sexual contact; released on bond after one day, 19 hours.
Rodendo Silva Flores, 58, of Laredo; arrested 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor driving while license is not valid, warrant issued in La Salle County Court for failure to appear in court on a charge of Class B misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance; released on bond after one day.
Darnell Augustine, 43, of Cotulla; arrested 12:28 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after four hours.
Jesus Daniel Rodriguez, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 10:22 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor driving with an expired license; released after two days, nine hours.
Carlos Intoneo Garza Jr., 26, of Cotulla; arrested 12:58 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County for misdemeanor assault by physical contact, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor assault by contact; released on bond after ten hours.
Jose de Jesus Cuevas, 45, of Moore; arrested 2:58 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Medina County for third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 16.
Dereuan Sean Tiraz Reed, 35, of Duncanville, Texas; arrested 6:51 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, by the Texas DPS; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Class A misdemeanor unlawfully carrying a weapon; released on bond after 17 hours.
Stephanie Lee Garcia, 40, of Cotulla; arrested 2:46 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury, second-degree felony criminal attempt at burglary of a habitation; released on bond after eight hours.
Mia Bella Garcia, 19, of Cotulla; arrested 2:46 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after seven hours.
Alexandra Alvarado, 31, of Cotulla; arrested 10:08 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, by the Texas DPS; warrants issued by Pct. 2 JP for failure to appear in court on charges of failure to maintain financial responsibility and child safety belt violation; released on bond after ten hours.
