LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor,
I’m excited to share that our Mental Health Awareness Events in Frio and La Salle counties were a tremendous success.
We are incredibly grateful to the many individuals and organizations who contributed to making these events impactful.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to our co-sponsors, Belong (Belia Valenzuela) and Laurel Ridge Treatment Center (Melody Munoz), for their generous support. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Mayor Ben Briscoe and County Judge Leodoro Martinez III for their meaningful participation in reading the Mental Health Proclamation.
Together, our efforts are creating real change – raising awareness and helping people understand that they are not alone. Support is available, and no one has to suffer in silence.
We continue to spread the message that if you or someone you love is in need of mental health or substance use services, please contact
our Mental Health Clinic at 830-334-0075. For mental health crises, call 988 or 1-800-543-5750.
Sincerely,
Ana L. Zamora
Associate Mental Health Director
