Gloria D. Zapata, 80, of Pearsall, died on Thursday, May 15, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1945 to Alberto De La Cruz and Ignacia Viesca De La Cruz.
She is preceded in death by her husband Domingo Zapata, her parents, children Gloria Jean Zapata, Belen Zapata Perez, and Emiliano Zapata, brother Ruben Martinez, and her son-in-law Noel Cantu.
Gloria is survived by her children Domingo Zapata III (Rosalinda), Raul Zapata (Irene), Dahlia Arriazola (Juan Jr.), Cynthia Linda Zapata, Sandra Cantu, Charlene Cano (Danny), Darlene Zapata, Cassandra Zapata, and Raymundo Perez Jr. Gloria is also survived by her siblings Ramona Hernandez, Rosa Rodriguez, and Irene Garcia, as well as four generations of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers included Daniel Zapata, Noel G. Cantu Jr., Raymundo Perez Jr., Raymond R. Zapata, Johnnie Joe Arriazola, Moises Gonzalez III, Jai’DeMilio F. Cano, Juan D. Cano II (Deuce) and Seth X. Cano.
Honorary Pallbearers include: Darlene Zapata and Casandra Jo Zapata.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 23, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
