COUNTY ARRESTS
Twenty-three individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges and on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and officers of the Encinal Police Department.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, May 19, and Sunday, June 1, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Homero Obregon, 65, of Cotulla; arrested 6:21 p.m. Monday, May 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony tampering with an electronic monitoring device, warrant issued by Austin Parole Division for felony parole violation; remained in jail Monday, June 2.
Mark Trejo Jr., 32, of Cotulla; arrested 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on third-degree felony assault on a family member with a prior conviction, warrant issued by Austin Parole Division for felony parole violation; remained in jail Monday, June 2.
Juan Alberto Ortiz, 28, of Dallas; arrested 3:57 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear on third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts); remained in jail Monday, June 2.
Rubi Mendez Rodriguez, 53, of Cotulla; arrested 12:06 a.m. Thursday, May 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after nine hours.
Gerardo Castillo-Olivio, 27, of Floresville, Texas; arrested 12:32 a.m. Thursday, May 22, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Wilson County for failure to appear in court on first-degree felony arson; transferred after six days, 11 hours.
Jeremiah Acarias Alvarez, 19, of Encinal; arrested 1:13 a.m. Thursday, May 22, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, third-degree felony possession of marijuana; released on bond after 12 hours.
Jesse Anthony Aguilar, 42, of Cotulla; arrested 11:40 a.m. Saturday, May 24, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for Class B misdemeanor indecent exposure; remained in jail Monday, June 2.
Julyssa Marie Ortegon, 25, of Selma, Texas; arrested 1:46 p.m. Saturday, May 24, by the Encinal PD; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after 21 hours.
Edwin Misael Valle, 31, of Laredo; arrested 4:05 p.m. Sunday, May 25, by the Encinal PD; Class B misdemeanor driving while license is not valid, with a prior conviction; released on bond after 23 hours.
Misael DeHoyos, 21, of San Antonio; arrested 11:35 p.m. Monday, May 26, by the Encinal PD; Class B misdemeanor possession of inhalant paraphernalia; released on bond after 12 hours.
Raul Benavides Jr., 18, of San Juan, Texas; arrested 7:31 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (four counts), Class B misdemeanor giving false statement to a peace officer; remained in jail Monday, June 2.
Jesus Nieto Jr., 30, of Cotulla; arrested 10:04 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; remained in jail Monday, June 2.
Alejandro Martinez, 24, of Laredo; arrested 7:48 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor violating a promise to appear in court (two counts); released on bond after 15 hours.
Yoel Alexander Martinez-Lucio, 22, of Dallas; arrested 12:06 a.m. Thursday, May 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after 10 hours.
Erik Ramon Rojas, 17, of Bulverde, Texas; arrested 8:08 a.m. Thursday, May 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (five counts); released on bond after one day, six hours.
Lucia Maria Rosales, 54, of Cotulla; arrested 11:36 p.m. Thursday, May 29, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County for failure to appear in court on Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; remained in jail Monday, June 2.
Antonio Ramirez, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 4:16 p.m. Friday, May 30, by the Texas DPS; Class A misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 3 (two counts), warrant issued through the Texas DPS for Class B misdemeanor terroristic threat creating fear of imminent serious bodily injury; released on bond after five hours.
Glenda Dariella Hernandez, 26, of Laredo; arrested 4:14 a.m. Saturday, May 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 2 JP for misdemeanor child safety belt violation (two counts) and misdemeanor driving without a license; released on bond after six hours.
Antoinette Eileen Chapa, 38, of Cotulla; arrested 4:39 a.m. Saturday, May 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor failure to appear in court; released on bond after five hours.
Marlana Contreras, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 10:54 a.m. Saturday, May 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after seven hours.
Christopher Neal Ruiz Jr., 23, of Cotulla; arrested 11:35 a.m. Saturday, May 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after six hours.
Kyna Renee Osoria, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 8:29 p.m. Saturday, May 31, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 3 JP for misdemeanor failure to maintain financial responsibility and misdemeanor failure to appear in court; released on bond after 16 hours.
