Major Arturo Rodriguez III

Major Arturo Rodriguez III, the 1st Armored Division Public Affairs Officer at Fort Bliss, Texas, was recently selected by the Department of the Army Promotion Selection Board, for the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Rodriguez, of Pearsall, enlisted in the Army in 2003 as a private, commissioned as an officer in 2007, has been stationed around the world to include tours to Europe, Korea, and combat deployments to the Middle East. His decorations include the Bronze Star (2), Army Meritorious Service Medal (3), Army Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal, the Parachutist Badge, Army Recruiting Badge, and the German Armed Forces Badge. Rodriguez is the son of Arturo Jr. and Nelda Rodriguez, also of Pearsall.
