Joudanton’s Randall Graf will join students from across the nation this summer to take part in a unique academic and career oriented development experience, NYLF Pathways to STEM, at the University of Dallas.
NYLF Pathways to STEM is an Envision by WorldStrides program that enables students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.
Randall is a member of Jourdanton’ s UIL Number Sense and Chess teams. According to school officials, he consistently makes outstanding grades, has made all A’s for every six weeks from the first through fifth grades. They say he loves learning, especially Science and Math and is looking forward to hands on experiences in these areas and is excited about meeting some challenges.
“He is thankful for the recommendation from his Science teacher, Ms. Woodward,” his mother Yvonne Graf said. Randall is the son of Randy and Yvonne Graf, formerly of Pearsall and the grandson of Martin and Mary Graf and Ramona and the late Gilbert Rodriguez, all of Pearsall.
“I am excited for Randall to meet, work, and collaborate with fellow high-aspiring students from other cities and schools,” Education for Envision Vice President Dr. Jan Sikorsky said. “NYFL Pathways to STEM is a wonderful opportunity for ambitious young students to explore their interests outside the classroom and discover how to innovate and think creatively through hands-on immersive learning. Our students are challenged with real-world simulations and problems, working together to develop unique solutions and projects to bring life to their studies and career interests.”
