DILLEY LADY WOLVES VOLLEYBALL
Rendon, Obregon named to All-Tournament team following action at Heart of a Mustang tourney.

Dilley dropped only a single game and finished second overall in action at the Heart of a Mustang Volleyball Tournament last weekend in Natalia.
The Lady Wolves were third at the same event a year ago and won four of five outings to take second overall.
Dilley notched wins over Knippa, Medina, Natalia’s junior varsity team and the Floresville JV.
In the round robin event, the Lady Wolves’ only loss was to the host Lady Mustangs.
“The event showcased an impressive performance from our Lady Wolves,” DHS Head Coach Shandi Rios said. “We had standout contributions from several key players.
“Leading the charge was Mia Rendon, who dominated offensively with 34 kills and added four aces to her stat line.”
Thayla Obregon had five aces at the service line for Dilley while Carissa Moreno anchored the defense with five blocks.
Dilley’s only loss to Natalia went into three sets as the host team held on for the win.
Rendon and Obregon were both named to the All-Tournament team for their play on the court.
In their season opener on August 12, Dilley dropped a 18-25, 8-25, 16-25 decision to the Laredo Harmony School of Excellence.
The Lady Wolves hosted La Pryor on Tuesday, August 19 for their home opener and will travel to Freer this weekend to compete in the Buckaroo Tournament.
