PEARSALL VOLLEYBALL INVITATIONAL

Pearsall, Dilley, Cotulla will all be in action at annual volleyball event.

A total of 14 teams will be in contention for the title at the annual Pearsall Volleyball Invitational Tournament on Thursday, August 28 to Saturday, August 30.
Teams will compete in pools of four to open the event and be seeded according to record for bracket play on Saturday.
Cotulla, San Antonio Cole, SA Sam Houston and the Pearsall junior varsity will be paired in Pool A. George West, SA Memorial and Utopia will be in Pool B while SA Kennedy, Dilley and SA Fox Tech will comprise Pool C.
Hondo, Knippa, Pearsall and SA Brackenridge will be in Pool D at the event.
Dilley’s Lady Wolves will have three games on Thursday as they kick off the event at 8:30 a.m. against Fox Tech in the high school auxiliary gym. They will then face Kennedy in a 9:45 a.m. contest. The Lady Wolves close out the day at 12:15 p.m. against Memorial.
Pearsall and Cotulla are both slated to take the court on Friday, August 29. The Lady Mavs will take on Hondo in the main gym at 9:45 a.m. and Brackenridge at 12:15 p.m., also in the main gym. Pearsall closes out play with a 1:30 p.m. contest against Knippa in the main gym.
Cotulla opens tourney play with an 8:30 a.m. contest against the Pearsall JV in the auxiliary gym. The Cowgirls then take on Cole at 11 a.m. in the main gym before closing out action at 2:45 p.m. against Sam Houston.
Teams will then be seeded according to overall tournament record for bracket play on Saturday, August 30. Games are scheduled every hour, on the hour beginning at 8 a.m. The third place game is slated for 3 p.m. while the consolation title game is also at 3 p.m.
The tournament championship game will take place in the main gym at 4 p.m.
