DILLEY CROSS COUNTRY
Wolves set to defend 2024 title with 19 teams in contention.
Nineteen teams will be in contention for the team titles at the third annual Robert C. Salazar Cross Country Invitational at Gosch Field in Dilley on Saturday, September 27.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and will include a rolling schedule, with new divisions beginning every half hour through 10 a.m. beginning with varsity, junior varsity then seventh and eighth grade teams.
Teams in attendance include: Laredo Harmony, Crystal City, Hondo, Dilley, St. Anthony, Bandera, Natalia, Poteet, Uvalde Classical Academy, Cotulla, Pearsall, La Pryor, Carrizo Springs, Pawnee, Charlotte, Knippa, Devine, Jourdanton and DDS.
Dilley’s boys won the event a year ago as Josiah Benavides paced the team with a five place finish individually. Four of Dilley’s five runners also cracked the top 20.
The event begins with a coaches’ meeting at 7 a.m.
