A Moore woman was killed on Friday night after she was struck by a vehicle on the northwest side of San Antonio.
Stacy Rodriguez, 36, a mother of six, was identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office on Sunday, January 18, as the woman who had lost her life.
The medical examiner’s report ruled her cause of death as blunt force injuries sustained from the crash, although the manner of her death has yet to be confirmed.
A report filed by the San Antonio Police Department noted emergency dispatchers received a call just before 9:30 p.m. Friday regarding a vehicle collision with a pedestrian on Bandera Road.
According to a preliminary police report, Rodriguez was allegedly walking outside a marked crosswalk and into oncoming traffic when a white four-door sedan struck her.
Rodriguez was transported to a San Antonio hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
No charges have been filed against the driver in the case to date.
